Metin2 UK is the oldest English Metin2 server, pre-dating Metin2 US by around 2 months. Possibly because it was the first, the server's player base actually seems to consist of more foreign players than native UK players. In 2009, a second server was opened.

Pre 2009-2010, Metin2 UK had the unfortunate reputation of being the slowest with updates. Other servers surpassed it by implementing such items as Epic Weapons, Heaven's Lair/Watery Cavern (Known as the Grotto Of Exile on UK) and +5 stones.

This changed in 2010, now leading into 2011. The Metin2 UK server has since caught up with Epic Weapons and the Grotto, as well as being the first English server to feature the new mounts. Metin2 UK is now also the only English language server to feature hack protection. It also has unique extra mounts, the white lion and war boar.
