A BIG HELLO TO ALL.  :)

I visit this forum once a week to read all the juicy stuff. A lot of comment at the back of my mind regarding certain post but I guess that I would just keep it to myself.  ;)

Alright, Metin2sg has been around for 5 months since we entered Open Beta on 27 Sep 2009. We went into actual commercialization only on 15 Jan 2010.

Apart from Watery Cavern (known as Heaven's Lair in our server), we have practically every update which is available in other version. Of course, Heaven's Lair will be launch soon when we have sufficient players in the level 80s' category.

In Metin2sg, we try to make our server fun and exciting with lots of event weekly. Every Saturday has a unique theme and we are organising a Football competition this weekend (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5h8BU9D4UE). On the following Saturday, we have another event known as "TEC Sumo Wrestling Rumble". Wonder how we organise it? Don't miss it! Come & take a look.  ;)

Our GAs, SGMs & GMs are competent. We are very strict with our rules and regulation. Unlike other server, there is absolutely NOT a single gold seller in our game. Our administration team are highly efficient and specially trained to track down hackers & fish botters. We have an operational 24 hours and 7 days online and offline help-desk system. GMs are in the game watching and ensuring the regulatory guidelines are being complied with. We are helpful and dedicated to service our customers. Quality service will be the hallmark of success in Metin2sg!

Well... corruption is a curse in many MMORPGs. In Metin2sg, our GMs and SGMs are limited in their ability with only Low Wizard setting and only 2 of the GAs are authorised with High Wizard. We are not able to create equipment or gold with our GM configuration. Hence, the elimination on any possibility that GMs are helping their friends with equipment and gold or the possibility that GMs sell equipment and gold for real money. (Note: Do a research on google and find out who are behind all the gold selling activities)

Except for Sunday, we are in daily conversation with our developer to fix in-game issues. We have also made our server uniquely different from other servers. Examples:

a) Due to the elimination of fish botters, rarely anyone is fishing in our server. Hence we included pearls in Item Mall at an affordable price.
b) With the advise from our developer, we have implemented a different quality in the +4 & +5 spirit stones. To create a longevity in Metin2, we think that there is further development for +6 & even +7 spirit stones to be implemented at later stage.
c) Item Mall stuff are giftable to narrow the rift between mallers and non-mallers.
d) Return Scroll and Town Return Scroll drops randomly from the mobs.
e) Regular event on every Saturday and random event during the weekdays.
f) Regular updates on weekly or bi-weekly basis to keep the flow of the game in accordance to players' behaviour.

Last but not least, our developer has plans for Metin2 to mature further. Probably in another week or two, Korean server 1 which is mainly used for testing will receive all the updates on maps, mobs and items. Once those updates are tested to function in a correct manner without bug or opportunistic hack redundancy, our developer will release the updated version to all the legitimate licensees. (As for those so-called new maps, new mobs and new items you have seen in the private servers, it does not originate from Ymir Entertainment. Such add-ons developed by the private server owners may eventually create a rampage on their server files, as it is not in accordance to script nature of the original Metin2)

Well, so much for a long essay and if any part is being offensive, please forgive as it isn't intentional. A real MMO is not about the game, it is about the operational people behind it and the group of passionate community who constantly give their fullest support. Say NO to corruption! Say NO to piracy!.... The success of Metin2 - A simple and yet fun and fulfilling MMORPG which is uniquely different.

  • Not hard at all =o  But I prefer to play where I am free to come and go as I want.  Without having to jump through hoops.  But let's not clutter up his thread with our mutual dislike.. eh?

    Ontopic - Some of the problems Chris claims to have solved in SG are linear.  There are no fishbotters, goldsellers because there are so few players. (In comparison to other servers)  Likewise the customer service is better because there are fewer players.  Fewer people to please = easier to please them.

    Agree... It's not that hard to see this, but a lot of people "forget" about that detail...

    Well, I may think that the current IP block status is not permanent. Anyway, if and when the IP block is removed, we do hope that you can perhaps visit us and the community.  :)

    You are right to say that our population isn't as big as some of the more established servers. Our combined registered users is only about 8k plus.

    Fish Botter
    Perhaps you are not aware that the administration console in each and every respective licensee can be different. Apart from integreting the admin api from our developer, we can customise the functionality of our system. Our system enables us to list down the name of players who are fishing. With the command (/user) and (/warp), our GMs (Dex, Pharoah, Shadow, BigSox, Yishun, Tron2010, Dustineyes and myself) would conduct regular check to pick up the fish botters. Hence, irregardless of 10,000 CCU, we can still do a professional job to deter botters.

    In addition, when we pick up a botter, we use our recovery system to trace his/her main account and impose a permanent ban on all their related account(s). This severe punishment send out a wave of fear to the hackers in his attempt to cheat in our server.

    Gold Seller
    On the issue of gold selling, I refer you to this link from Google (https://services.google.com/inquiry/aw_tmauth). Under the Terms & Condition as stated in that link, "We only accept authorization requests directly from the trademark owner or from the contact person listed on the trademark complaint", it is very clear that Google or even Yahoo would only advertise the gold selling site with authorization from the trademark owner. Well who authorise such advertisement here: (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1C1GGLS_esES291ES318&q=metin+gold&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=)? I leave you with the thinking.  :) As far as I am concern, Metin2sg will never has any problem with gold seller and the company is powered by a group of passionate gamers who dare to make a difference living with integrity.

    To be honest, whether 500 CCU or 10,000 CCU, it will never stop us to conduct random and regular event almost everyday. When we see our users satisfied and happy, we appreciate it and continue to work harder. I have previously joined CB & OB of several MMOGs and never in my life did I see such commitment when community was barely a hundred. Agreed?  ;)

  • I don't understand the haters of that server..anyway, I think Chris is doing a great job..I stayed on us since I've spent too much time on it to start again..though am tempted to join Sg, I can say our server is corrupted..the most corrupt server of all I would say..only staying here because I tend to play my own game..not take notice of the others, especially those that tend to make their game by selling the ass of their "friends" in game..

    Keep going at it Monster, your a great inspiration, best of wishes from me.

  • Sincerely,i prefer to spend money in a server like this,even with the ip block,than in a server where gm give a screw of updates and player' fun.Good job monster.

  • I just hate the fact that we need to lvl till 80 before they open Water/heaven lair 78 is just fine to go there and v2 dont give any exp att all during week days

  • I've been playing .sg, actually not for long, and the few days i've played there i could see the GM team helps lots more in 1 week than a full month on .us with their team.

    Another point, small community doesnt mean isn't a good one, at least they aren't cry babies like the ones we can find on .us forums lol There, everybody complains but none can simply give up, kinda ridiculous.
    "none"? ops sorry, seems these last months many old school players have opened their eyes and made the right choice.

  • I can't understand people complaining about the IP Block.
    I mean installing a program and making 2 clicks and typing in 2 words is such an huge effort?
    Because it's worth it, Chris and his team do excellent work!
    I supported SG from the very beginning on the forums and after releasing ingame too and I never got disappointed.
    Unfortunately I'm lacking of time to play on Metin2.SG, but I love the time I spend there, community sticks together, helps each other instead of compete themselves to each other to prove who's the best Item Maller like in other Servers. (I try to read SB's at least so when I got more time at least the Skills are ready)
