« on: July 07, 2009, 02:53:20 AM »

  • Well for the few ppls that dont know yet seems that ymir ordered to Tec-interactive to put an ip block for all the non asian players. Thats coz the lovelly g4box with its friendly buddy gameforge crapped their pants when they saw how low their current customers were

So shortly i want that all non-asian ppls who wanna play this server write a email against the ip block decision here

    marketer@metin.co.kr

  • Doing that will not stop them from doing it.
They are trying to please all 3 contracts, and all G4Box wants to do is retain their income (shocker)
G4Box knows they can't get rid of the new server because of the contract YMIR and TEC have, and to get out of this contract YMIR would have to pay millions, so they used this IP block as a way to try make players come back to .us, and to get players away from SEA and to create the idea of the server being fake because it has not been released on time etc.
G4Box were the first to complain, and encouraged GameForce to join in. G4Box are just playing dirty, but it will backfire because they will lose all European players and they wont make it through the rest of the year!

  • this is the kind of foul play, crapy companies use when they realise their incompetence.
they know they can't compete with .sea so they play dirty to try to kill competition.
i wont spend another cent on .us untill i can play .sea. i was going to play both servers normaly, but now i wont give those leeches another dime of my hard earned money.

    To whom it may concern.

I am writing you from Germany.

It has come to my attention that the shortly opening up metin2 server, commonly regarded to as metin2.sea, is facing a possible IP block for players outside of the SouthEastAsian region. It is said this issue has arisen from the competitors of Tec Interactive, g4box/subagames and gameforge, having filed a complaint with you, Ymir Entertainment, about Tec Interactive actively acquiring customers of their metin2 Servers, therefore breaking some obscure clause in the Licensing contract which supposingly limits the freedom of players to choose themselves on which server to play, based on their perception of game as well as customer service quality.

I have been playing metin2 on the .us Server starting September 2007, and became a paying customer 2 months later. In addition to renewing my Bonusses every 3 months, I spent 100 Euros and more a month in MallItems. I stopped doing so in June 2008, when it became totally obvious the publisher did do NOTHING to fix any bugs, go against hackers/bugabusers, and was slacking horribly in the customer support area. I even stopped playing metin2 alltogether for about 6 weeks out of sheer disappointment with g4box/subagames.

When I came back to play metin2.us, I did not pay a single penny anymore. In the following months, we - the players - have been outright lied to in regards to why updates, bugfixes, new content do not happen. When a few montsh ago a LARGE portion of longtime loyal, paying players voiced their dissatisfaction with the metin2.us Server, amongst other, one [GM] told us we wont be missed, others would come and take our place.

I am writing you this to inform you about 3 things:

If a game creator and/or publisher limits my freedom of choice, he is not acting to his favour in my opinion. I am well old enough to choose myself to which company I want to give my money, and I base that on the overall product offered. Subagames/g4box do not deserve a SINGLE penny of my money anymore, simply because they ouright told me they dont care about the business I would bring to them, others would be just as good replacing me.

I would be more than happy to play on "metin2 sea", seeing how TEC Interactive seems to have a custome oriented approach, which in itself secures business success.

If I cant play metin2 on the Server of my choice, I will not play metin2 at all. There are more than enough interesting and NEW titles coming out all the time, I am sure I can find a few who satisfy my demands in terms of quality of game, service offered etc.

    Regards.
