Metin2 US Lunar New Year Events
« on: January 20, 2012, 07:27:04 AM »
That time comes again for the yearly Lunar New Year events on Metin2 USMetin2 US. They are events that are built into Metin2, so veteran US players should be familiar with them already, namely the cake baking event and red pocket gifts.

Cake Baking
This event is usually popular amongst PVP players, due to the eventual rewards. To take part, players must speak to to the Old Lady NPC. She will inform players of the ingredients needed to get their bake on, namely various forms of paste, such as bean and rice paste:

These can be dropped from monsters during the duration of this event. Once players have the required ingredients, they can return to the Old Lady with them to create their cakes:

These cakes are special in that they have the ability to instantly restore either HP, MP/SP or Stamina. The HP and MP ones, when used, also do not show the red/blue "bubble" effect that is visible to other players, so players can heal stealthily.

Red Pockets
The second event is much simpler - players can simply talk to the Old Lady to receive a Red Pocket:

Inside this pocket, players can find a variety of items, from Language Rings to Blessing Scrolls.

Duration

Both of these events start tomorrow, January 21st, and end on the 28th.
