Hi Rumor,


TEC has appointed a Council, registered as a member of the ICTC, familiar with the CyberSpace Crime, to add on behalf of the Company to pursue legal cause against the owner of Alpinemt2.


In relevant, report has been filed with the International Criminal Court or Tribunal for Cyberspace (ICTC) and the International Computer Bureau (ICB) to assist TEC to obtain information of the server and website of Alpinemt2.


The act of operating Alpinemt2 is against the Law herein known as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). In futherance, we may pursue under the ICTC, in relevant to the DMCA and expand to the US Penal Code Title 18, Chapter 47, Section 1030, on Fraud and related illegal activity in connection with computers and internet piracy, to press charges against the defendant in the US Federal Court.


Under the Penal Code, our legal representation will file a Police report in the Country of the registered operator to seek the Criminal Procedure Code for Police Action to investigate and apply from the Attorney General Chambers to prosecute the defendant under the Criminal Act as mentioned above.


On June 21, 2011, a Paypal's Infringement Report Form (http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/UserAgreement/ua/InfringementReport-outside) has been forwarded to the Brand Risk Management Team from Paypal to take appropriate action against Alpinemt2 for unauthorised and illegal use of Paypal trademark and illegal monetary collection under donate@alpinemt2.com, which is in contravene to Paypal's regulation under the Federal Law.

Account holder of donate@alpinemt2.com will also be reported to the Tax Department and the Monetary Association of Rightful Collection in his Country which consequences is more severe compared to above-mentioned.


Under DMCA, if found guilty, the accused person shall be punished with a fine of minimum 20,000 and not exceeding 200,000 (USD).

Under the US Penal Code Title 18, Chapter 47, Section 1030, on Fraud and related illegal activity in connection with computers and internet piracy, the accused person shall be punished with a fine of minimum 10,000 and not exceeding 100,000 (USD) and a mandatory imprisonment of minimum three months and not exceeding 7 years.


Under the Federal Law of illegal monetary collection, it is a mandatory imprisonment.


As for the Paypal infringment, TEC shall only report the matter to Paypal, Brand Risk Management, an eBay Company, and allow Paypal Legal Department to seek appropriate action.


In view of the above, please note that there are several infringment by the owner of Alpinemt2.com. Any ISP or Web Hosting Company who do not cooperate with the ICTC on Copyright Act, shall be punished with Abetment of an offence and be dealt with in similar Law.


As mentioned in a mail from JustHost, Alpinemt2 has 48 hours to shut down the website and the game and thereafter seek remedy for a cure to prevent further legal and criminal action by the Authority.

Which law, Gameforge's law? There isn't any law in any country regulating IP blocks on game servers LOL. In the other hand we all know what Copyright infringement is, and industrial theft too, which is what pservers are practicing.

Anyways, the host replied back to the account holder. He said that the problem has been resolved and thankyou for the cooperation.

Good point, I know that Chris did not CHOOSE to block IPs, so obviously this was something pushed on him because of the location of his server or something.. So it couldn't have been his own personal decision. And from the beginning what does the hippocratic guy do? He sets up a proxy server and gives a program with the client to bypass the ip block. Then nico_w comes and scripts the proxy into the client.

About US I never played there but everyone I talk to says how corrupted it is.

In conclusion the only place where I feel safe spending my cash is SG. And your oppinions driven by hidden agendas won't do nothing to change mine which is based on what I saw all these years of playing.

He can't do whatever he wants if he is restricted to use an IP block. Doesn't matter if he payed for it or not, he came late in the game.

2.My opinion. he wanted to close Alpine because he saw on this forum that some of his players went from SG to Alpine, so if he close Alpine, the players will come back.If GMs from US would close a romanian P server, I used to play on and I will play after I fix my PC (WITH ALMOST 2000 PLAYERS) I would quit US because of what they did. Simple as that.
3.I didn't understand, who sue who? Christopher/TEC can't sue Rumor because he does not own any rights on metin2 files, only YMIR can sue Rumor for having a P server but that will not happen (I think). so FAIL.
4.Why Deathju is not closed yet? Alpine didn't have a better "image" than Deathju.
5.A question for Christopher, do you have any copyrights from Metin2 KR for having the SAME item mall page? If you don't, they could sue you for that.
6.Christopher, take some tips from Rumor, and hide that IP from your item mall page, it looks very bad.:/

You do not need to be the owner of those files to sue some1. Having the license is more then enough, since every p server "steal" players from the licensed company. So yes he can sue, same can GF or G4box.

Do you know that its the ymir who customize the mall page and the mall things, otherwise how can they get the incomes on the mall? Even .us had the same korean mall, infact those fake armors and ssb +9 were exploited by hacking the web page mall of .us wich was the same as korea (korea had those armors in the mall just to show off, .us did not, however the exploit was done anyway)

Nya, wich threat are you talking about?I don't really care about GF/TEC servers. They do not affect G4 servers. Players are free to pick which server they want. And yes, I can't do anything to change that, if I could do something, I would have been bought a license from YMIR and open my own official metin2 server until now.
