Gameforge has just finished a rollout of their guild ranking system for each of their Metin2 websites.
This looks much the same way as the top players list, and though the guild's level is displayed also, the guilds are ranked by their "Guild Score". This is the same guild score that the guard in each nation's town will tell you.
It can be accessed on the right of each respective server's site, below the top player's list. For example, here is Metin2 UK's top guilds list.

Double-edged sword, that. I like the idea, but I know many guilds already will not war because they don't want to lose their rank. If it is on the website for all to see, how much more fiercely are they going to protect it? (which is fairly easy if you're already there, simply refuse the wars you know you can't win, etc) But, as I said, I like the idea.
As a guild leader who spent most of the time trying to reach another guild leader to arrange a war, I welcome this ranking. It helps a lot the smaller guilds to find a suitable guild to fight.
The problem is those big guilds, who think rank is all that matters. But since those just fight with their recruits and know who are the guilds that can beat them, I don't expect many changes there.
