One problem that will eventually become apparent on any longstanding and popular Metin2 server is that the number of available spots of land for guilds to purchase will become scarce, or even worse, all occupied. This prevents new guilds from creating their own guild smiths or other buildings, including the altar of power (increases the maximum capacity of the guild).

This problem is now hitting Metin2 US' Free Kingdom server, and the staff have decided to hold a guild land auction to help mitigate it.


Of course, yanking land from active guilds is not the way to go. The staff have decided to auction off the land used by guilds that have had no single member login for 6 months, or guilds where every member is banned. These criteria cover numerous guilds:


The auction for the land belonging to these guilds will take place from June 20th to 22nd, 2010. If you lead a guild and have your eye on some prime Map1 guild territory, now is the time to start saving.
