In our very first news item, we showed you two of the mounts that are planned to be implemented on Metin2 US this summer, namely the lion & wolf.

Since Metin2 DE has implemented these mounts already, players have now been able to get them, and we can show you the rest of them


This beast is the lowest level of the new mounts, and players can have the ability to ride it once they reach level 75. Using attacks and skills is largely the same as on a military horse, however the stat bonuses are much higher. While riding this, your defense / AC will increase by 116, and your attack power will increase by 120.


The wolf has a higher level limit; this time you must be level 85 in order to ride. The attack power boost gained is the same as the boar at 120+ AP, though the defense/AC increase is a slightly higher 141.


You may be thinking that this looks nothing like a tiger, and you would be correct. However, these are likely based on the "fighting tiger" mobs found in Valkus / Flame maps and from level 70 Metins. The level is once again a step up, at 85 this time. The defense of the tiger is the highest of all the new mounts, weighing in at 166. The attack power bonus is once again 120.


The lion will likely be the most popular mount. The level limit is again 85. The defense bonus of the lion is lower at only 41, but this is made up by an enormous attack bonus of 320!. This will be an incredible advantage for mages, especially for destroying metins.

How to get the mounts?

Players can drop the Wooden box ^{(click that small icon for the fullsize)} from all monsters in the grotto of exile / watery cavern / atlantia maps.

These boxes can contain items to summon any of the four mounts. You receive 5x summon items from the box. The largest downside to these new mounts however, is that they only last 5 minutes before disappearing, much the same way a pony disappears after using a horse riding ticket.

Guys if you think the new mounts are useless 'cause of that 5 minutes I'll tell you something. To get one of these you have to get a Wooden Box (DE: morsche Holzkiste). The wooden box is a alternative drop, that means ALL monster in the watery cavern drop the boxes. Then open the box to get the mount. You will get 5x Boar-seal or 5x Tiger-seal or 5x Wolf-seal or last 5x Lion-seal. From every box you get 5 Seals! 5 * 5 = 25. That means you have a kind of mount for 25 minutes. BTW: If you dismount from it, the time counter of it will stop until you mount up again! Also good that the mount disappears when you get down, so It can't stand in your way and block you to kill  mobs. That's the problem with horses lol. The new mounts a VERY useful, not only because of that high attackincrease, for leveling or breaking metins.

Wait until the mounts are aviable in US or in SG. ^_^
