Metin2 US - Monarch Armor Shenanigans

Posted: April 19, 2010, 02:55:09 AM by Dweia

April hasn't been a good month for Metin2 USMetin2 US's Free Kingdom server, in regards to its king system. The system has a history of players going back on the promises made in their applications. The absenteeism and leveling of DenderaDendera's current king KOSTOMAN this month has drawn the ire of many players who feel cheated out of their vote.

It seems that ListhmosListhmos cannot escape controversy this time either, with their current yellow king RougeChief's unique king armor being spotted on an as-of-yet unknown assassin. One player nabbed a screenshot in time:

The current most popular theory is that the character is an alternate character on the account - which would make it easily possible for the armor to show up on the level 50 assassin. This would make for some extremely easy leveling or farming using the sin. Even high level areas such as "V2/Cave 2" would be easy for a character with such an armor.

Though the king armor is blocked from being traded, it is still possible to store it in one's own bank warehouse, and then retrieve it on another alternate character in the same account.

If this is so, the current ListhmosListhmos king RougeChief could be in some hot water. We aren't totally sure, nor are some of Metin2 USMetin2 US' [MOD]s, nor people who have previously been monarchs, but the general feeling is that it's somewhat of a rule to not trade the king armor between characters.

This is the rule for the unique [MOD] armors, and the punishment for doing a similar thing with those outfits is instant removal of both the armor and privileges.

We'll keep an eye out for when a [GM] gives confirmation.
